Symptoms of lymphoma?!

Question: Symptoms of lymphoma!?
say you have a lump on the side of your neck right where the lymph node is and its been there going on 4 weeks now, and you havent been to the doctor for two reasons!.

1) from the majority of stories/experiences I hear of people going through this, their doctor sends them home after poking around at it and telling them its nothing, they almost always seem reluctant to do a biopsy 2) my husband is in between jobs and we couldnt afford to pay the cobra anymore, so as of right now, I'm uninsured!.

lets just say for arguements sake, it is lymphoma!.!.!. how would I be able to determine what stage it's in!? Are there any symptoms that could indicate a particular stage!? I mean, is it possible for someone to be walking around, going about normal everyday life with stage 3 or stage 4 lymphoma and not know it!?

my symptoms are: lump on neck/ almost 4 weeks now, fatigue, dizziness, headaches, overall weakness, ( the last few could be due to the fact that I'm anemic!?)

thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think it would be almost impossible for you to stage yourself!. Lymph node involvement is commonly internal(chest cavity and abdomenal cavity)and generally reaquires CT scanning to be accurate and possibly biopsies!. It is possible to be stage 3 (lymph node involvement on both sides of the diaphragm) and stage 4(involvement of an extralymphatic organ such as the liver, bone marrow or lung) and not to be aware of it!. The initial symptoms are nonspecific as you are currently experiencing, which might well be due to anemia!. Time and delay is your enemy!. Peace of mind might well be worth the investment in a wasted trip to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People with lymphoma often experience very few symptoms!. The most common symptom is a painless lump or swelling!. This lump is most likely to be found in the neck, armpit or groin!.

Other possible symptoms include:
unusual tiredness or fatigue,
excessive sweating especially at night,
persistent flu-like symptoms,
fevers,
difficulty shaking off infections,
unexplained weight loss,
abdominal pain,
diarrhoea or change in bowel habit,
a persistent cough or breathlessness,
pain in the enlarged nodes after drinking alcohol, or
a persistent itch all over!.

Please remember though, that these are symptoms for loads of things!
Getting the actual flu would cause these symptoms!. Being run down could cause these symptoms!. Hormone changes could cause these symptoms!.

I think if you are seriously concerned, you should go to the doctor and express your concerns!. If you think there is something seriously wrong, you shouldn't let it get out of control!.

It could be lymphoma!. You should get it checked!. You have to get biopsy to find out what stage it is in!. you also have night sweats !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may or may not have lymphoma!. I was diagnosed with lymphoma and I had excessive fatigue, night sweats!. Mine was in my chest and I felt something pressing on my esophagus!. That is the reason I went to the doctor!. I was in stage 4!. I had it removed, and then saw an oncologist who put me in the hospital within the hour and started chemotheraphy!. Lymphoma, at least my type is extremely aggressive!. It can be put into remission, as mine was!. However, like any other disease, you need to treat it as soon as possible!. I just made the cutoff, not by ignoring it, but that I had no real symptoms!. I have finished 3 years of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant and I am in remission!. I dont know you, but I would urge you to go to the doctor as soon as possible!. Hopefully, it will be nothing, but if it is something, let them treat you right away!. Hope it all works out for you!. It worked out for me, by the grace of God!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

SEE A DOCTOR!. You cannot treat this on your own!. There are many things other then Lymphoma that cause lymph nodes to swell, but you need to know for sure what's going on with you!. Syptoms include: swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, itching, night sweats, weight loss!.
