It doesn't sound like it's bad enough that you need to take it out!. Go to your local piercer and buy a bottle of H2Ocean!. Spray it on your ear two or three times a day!. It should clear up the infection pretty quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you only just did it it will hurt! be sore and swollen for a few days, this can be different for different people but mine did! xWww@Answer-Health@Com

You should anyhow put some neosporin on wounds to prevent any infection and if an infection has resulted then to cure it!. If possible try and put the ointment inside the pin holes!. If it is infected then you will have puss coming out or a sticky discharge that could be pink or yellowWww@Answer-Health@Com

!.!.!.!. Piercings are ALWAYS infected when you first get them!.
the best thing you can do is just clean it 2 or 3 times a day, and DON'T touch them!.

leave it there

if it still hurts after a few weeks, take it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An example showing hard-to-treat infection of the upper ear (AP photo)

They found bacteria living in sinks infected the ears of up 25 customers!.

Common, hardy bacteria called Pseudomonas aeruginosa were found in a disinfectant spray bottle that contaminated the sterile piercing equipment, the study said!.

The bacterial infection can be treated with antibiotics, but upper ear cartilage is harder to treat than earlobes!.

Since there's less blood supply to the cartilage, there is no easy way for the medicine to reach the infection site!.

Of the seven confirmed cases of P!. aeruginosa infection, four were hospitalized and several were "cosmetically deformed," the researchers said in Wednesday's issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association!.

Epidemiologist William Keene of the Oregon Department of Human Services said the infection doesn't affect hearing, but it can cause to ear to lose its shape and become unsightly!.

Keene said people who decide to have their upper ears pierced should be aware of the danger and keep the piercing site clean!.

The authors say doctors should respond aggressively to potential inflammation of ear cartilage and consider Pseudomonas a possible cause until they receive final culture results!.

Oregon has banned the type of piercing gun used and now requires ear piercers to be at least 18 and have basic first-aid training!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
