Your doctor is right!. My girlfriend has celiac and if she has anything with gluten in it, it causes her to have stomach cramps and diarrhea!.

You might want to go to a GI doctor and see if they can help!. They have a lot of different tests to determine why your tummy is giving you troubles!.

It sounds like you may need to have a endoscopy, which is where they take a tube with a camera at the end and slide it down your throat and look at your stomach and check for abnormalities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have dermatitis herpetiformis, which is related to Celiac disease!. I've had to go on a gluten free, dairy free diet!. Always had terrible stomach problems including extreme bloating and severe constipation!. Times I would be doubled over !. Say I was a size 4 or 6, after I ate, I would bloat to a size 12!.
Would like to let you know gluten is in other grains, as well!. Barley, rye and oats!. The diet is is gluten-restricted & gliadin-free!. You can find out more at Celiac!.com!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

search for celiac disease on this site--they have lots of info & its writtenunderstandably!./!.From there, consider another appt with your doctor, or instead see a gastroenterologist!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People with celiac disease can have standard symptoms like your doctor talks about or different variations or no symptoms at all yet!. The only thing about celiac disease is it affects different people different ways and often gets misdiagnosed for something else at least once in a patient!. The average time to diagnose celiac disease is 8 years even though it is present in 1 in 133 people in the US!. Stick to your guns and get tested!. You can even get a genetic DNA test done to see if you have the genetics for it!. I think that if your doctor can't come up with anything else, he should at least try testing you for celiac and if he won't find one that will!. (It is possible to test negative for celiac and later on in life test positive)!. You can try contacting your local csaceliacs rep to see what doctor they recommend !.

Hi there,

Coeliacs frequently suffer from constipation!. Google "Dr Gluten", a site run by a pediatrician, Rodney Ford, in New Zealand!. He gives a list of common coeliac symptoms and what tests to ask your doctor for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
