Answers:
I don't have severe acne either but I did have a few spots that just wouldn't go away!. Proactiv did not work for me and neither did any other over-the-counter treatments!. I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed me with Solodyn, an oral antibiotic, Differin, a gel to put on at night, and this foam stuff to put on in the morning!. My acne was gone within 2 days!. I highly recommend this treatment and going to the dermatologist was the best thing I've ever done for my skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

witch hazel brilliantWww@Answer-Health@Com

proactiv sucks!.
go to the dermatologist!.!. theyll prob give you differin and duac
it works as long as u use it as reccomended!.
mine is duac in the morning differin at night
and wash 2x a day

they also have pills u can takeWww@Answer-Health@Com

i've used neutrogena spot treatment and had great results with it!. oxy has always given me a reaction because they use so much alcohol and clearasil just wasn't effective!. best wishesWww@Answer-Health@Com

have you tried Proactiv with the sensitive skin one!? i heard they've started selling it for sensitive skin!.!.!.!.

but the best way is to get prescription topical ointments from a dermitologist!. that's gonna get rid of thme, but with a price (unless you have good insurance)Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i use biore and that works for me!. If you have any other problems, go to a dermatologist and have them diagnose the problem!. Mine gave me a prescription for differin and that's worked for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only product I've ever used was proactive!. I would seriously consider seeing a dermatologist!. They can diagnose what type of skin you have (sounds like you have sensitive skin if you had a reaction to proactive) and prescribe a medicine/skin care cream based off of that to help clear it up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use L'Oreal Acne Response and I like it a lot!. They have two different kits - one for daily use, and one for use just a couple times a week!. I would recommend the daily use one!. I get it at my local pharmacy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello, I can solve your acne problem!.
My sister is a dermatologist, and she says the best products to use are from Neutrogena, Glytone, and Revale!. I have used all of these companies and LOVED them so much I just had to recommend it to all of my friends on Yahoo Answers!. Proactive is proven to, however, make your skin flake and scrunch up!. Please discontinue using it before your skin creates problems for you daily!.

You should try Clean & Clear's Advantage!.!.It worked for me!.!.Try it!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Philosophy makeup optional for congested skin!. I also had a bad reaction to Proactiv!. You can get it at Sephora or anywhere that sells Philosophy products!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there is a new acne solution from Clean & Clear that is said to be better than Proactiv and get rid of acne better!. It's called Clean & Clear Advantage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

buy an anti-acne cream that contains benozyl peroxide!.!. it is available in various amounts such as 2!.5%, 5%, 7!.5%, and 10% from what i've seen!.!. remember that that product will dry ur skin, so if ur skin is constantly oily, i'd suggest a 10% and vice versa!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

each persons skin is different so it may take some trial and error to get a product that works the way you want it to!. Theres things you can do on your own to help keep acne at bay!. Wash face twice a day with a good acne soap!. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day and avoid caffeine!. Wash or change your pillow case at least every other day!. Simple things like that help!. As for products i know people have had great success with the Acne Exposed products!.

all the suggestions on this thread are great but in all honesty everyone has different skin and like you pointed out youve had reactions to proactiv, so your best bet is to see a dermatologist!. they are very knowledgeable about skin and will be able to find the BEST acne treatment for your skin type and based on your previous reaction!. over-the-counter treatments do work for some people but not all people and honestly I'd rather spend the money to see a dermatologist and get the right thing the first time then spend a ton of money on OTC products that might or might not work!. if you have medical it should be covered so the cost should only be a copay or deductible!. if not you may be able to find one that offers sliding scale prices!.

they will most likely RX differin which is a great product and i have had success with it when i was a teen although my problems cleared up as i got older!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try benzol peroxide it really gives results:)

I also didn't have really severe acne, but it was pretty bad!. I have used a product called Nicam for three ish years now and it's done amazing wonders for my acne - it's practically disappeared, although it took a few weeks to notice the difference! It contains nicotinamide and you can get in on prescription if you ask your doctor!
But I supposes it's whatever works for you really!
hope that helps xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

the only thing that worked for me was growing up i had bad acne as a teen and i grew out of it sorry but thats it, much luck!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have acne too!. When I eat healthy, and exercise it starts to clear up!. That is the best way to get rid of it!. Also keep your face clean!. wash it when you wake up, and before you go to bed:)Www@Answer-Health@Com
