Question: Can I have cancer by smoking cigarettes for 1 year!?
I started roughly one year ago, I'm 20 years old, but I'm already considering the cancer issue!. I know there's not a concrete rule to it, but roughly how much do I have to smoke to have cancer, whats the average!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Something as small as one cigarette can cause cancer though unlikely, when there are people who smoke their whole lives and never get cancer, but that is also very rare!. The great thing about your lungs, is that they can heal!. So if you quite now your lungs will start to heal itself!. Smoking can cause other health problems as well!. Smoke is a carcinogenic!. It causes cancer because it causes cancer cells to be activated in your body!. It doesn't matter how much or for how long since everyones bodies are different and reacts differently to things!.

It depends on your gene!. I know people who smoked packs of cigarettes each day for most of their lives but lived to their 80's or 90's and never got lung cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, it takes much longer than a year for smoking to cause cancer!. If you got it after just a few years, then you were going to get it anyway, smoking or not!. For some reason, people on here like to try to scare people with lies - see above "one cigarette can kill" - LOL!

I never smoked in my life and I was diagnosed with cancer!. If you have the chance while you are healthy to stop, I would!. The other side of the coin is, if you are diagnosed with any deadly disease, the risks are far greater if you are a smoker than if you are not!. I was diagnosed with lymphoma which is not from smoking, but since I was a non smoker, it gave me better odds of beating the disease!. Believe me, you do not want to go through chemotherapy, or be told that they cannot help you!. Life is something that you should cherish and not throw away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
