Question: Cancer tumor in the throat!.!.!.!?
My parents have been friends with this couple since before I was even born so this guy is like a dad to me!. We recently found out that he has a tumor over top of his voice box and they cut a peice off and sent it out to be tested!. They got the results today and it tuns out that it is cancerous they need to do further testing to determine how far it has spread and weather or not he will have to have his voicebox removed or if they can do Chemo on him to get rid of it!. They are saying about putting him in a nursing home!. My question is will he have to be put in a nursing home and how deadly is a cancer tumor in the throat!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends how far the cancer has spread!.!.!. if they can catch it on time a new voice box will help otherwise it may have spread already!.!. if it has spread then chances to survive are not good my husband's dad had throat cancer he lived for 1 year after they found out!.!. be he did not need a nursing home!.!. he continued to be able to do things!.!. and when it got really bad he went into hospital!.!.!.where he was on morphine and he finally sadly died!.!.!. but there is some hope!.!.!. if the Chemo helps!.!. Medical science has advanced since 1977 so he got better chances!.!. why he should need to go into a nursing home I don't know!.!. probably because if he gets sick sooner nobody will be at home to take care of him!.!.!.otherwise he would not have to go!.!.!. xx If they can remove the voice box and that stops the cancer from spreading then it's definitely worth it doing that!.!. he will be able to talk with a mechancical device!.!.!.xxWww@Answer-Health@Com
