How many carbs a day can I eat on a low carb diet?!
Question: How many carbs a day can I eat on a low carb diet!?
Does that number include complex carbs (whole grain bread, etc)
I'm not trying to lose weight, my doctor suggested that I try it for a problem - - chronic yeast infections of all things (I know, gross, but on the bright side, you dont have it ;)
So I was wondering roughly how many grams of carbs/sugars etc a day I should limit my intake to!.!.!.!.
I figured diabetics of all people should know this sort of thing, so I hope ya dont mind me asking it here!.
Thanks for pointing me in the right directionWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is very individual, even for a diabetic, so there is no right answer!. I would try cutting out bread to start with, as an excess of yeast ingestion may contribute to your problem!.
You can get by with as little as 24g of carbs a day, but this will depend on many things, your activity level/excercise, what you have had to eat previously and your health generally/what other meds you are on!.
For a low carb diet there is the atkins type, south beach (popular with diabetics) or ultra low carb from diabetes specialist Dr Richard K Bernstein:

If you got to accu-chek!.com they have a carb counter that you can use by picking foods you want to eat for each meal and seeing if it is within the recommended amountWww@Answer-Health@Com
