Some people, especially young and otherwise healthy people, experience absolutely NO symptoms of HIV for even ten YEARS after becoming infected- but they are positive and would put any of their future partner's health (as well as their own health) at risk by not knowing!.

The ONLY way to know is to get an oral test at 3 months and a blood test to confirm the 3 month at 6 months (after the initial exposure)- until then, operate on the assumption that you ARE positive- don't allow others to come into contact with your blood or semen without being informed and using protection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One of the first things that may happen when you contract HIV, is the flu like symptoms!.

Typically, you don't experience much symptoms when having the virus in your system!. You can appear to be totally healthy and in perfect physical shape, yet still have HIV!. It's not until it progresses to AIDS that you will most likely start noticing the symptoms!.

The best thing you can do is get tested!. Some people find out they have HIV when it's a little too late, and the HIV has progressed to AIDS!. Once that happens, you have less opportunities to boost your immune with meds!.

One thing to keep in mind is, you will have to wait 3-6 months to get tested after the risky situation!. It takes time for the HIV to develop, and you may get a negative test when you could in fact, be positive!. Ideally a 6 month wait is recommended!.

If the worst case scenrio happens to be that you have become infected, medicines today are a lot more potent than a decade ago!. People live very long lives, and some people don't have the HIV turn into AIDS for 25+ years!.

But anyway, be sure to get tested! Good luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would be like one in thousands chance that you have caught HIV but still be cautious as you never know, you can not get tested until it has been 4 weeks, and you are best getting tested because as the last girl said, it can lay dormant for years!. I wouldn't worry yourself too much because you could make yourself ill (ie, you could make yourself think you're having symptoms)!.

Anyway, good luck, hopefully it will make you think twice next time :o<Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tiredness, lack of energy, severe headaches and one of the biggest but often wrote off to heat exhaustion night sweats! If you wake up and your sheets are like someone poured water all over them, go get tested!. Now if there is a positive diagnosis keep in mind this isn't the end of the world!. There are support groups and services to help!. Now this could be any STD syphilis, gonorrhea so o and so forth!. Keep in mind that this isn't the end of the world, but the start of your new life of adherence and awareness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
