How can i tell the difference between allergies and a sinus infection that just !

Question: How can i tell the difference between allergies and a sinus infection that just won't go away!?
i have been through one round of antibiotics already (3-4 weeks ago), but i recently started getting my headaches again!. i can't lie flat, or the pain in my face is nearly unbearable, my nose is stopped up, and when i blow it, it's bright yellow (sorry if TMI)!.
could this just be allergies, or the sinus infection coming back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like a sinus infection, if you have pain in your face near your eyes and brow it probably is!. Does it hurt when you lean over and put your head down!? That is another symptom!. I used to get them all the time, the doctors told me they were caused by allergies, i didn't even know I had allergies or what i was allergic to!. Anyhow, I started taking Zyrtec D and it seemed to take care of the problem!. Might be worth a try!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might need to see the doctor again,,, and ask if you can take something for your allergies!.!.!.!.!.!.
I have you tried some of the zertec, I have used it and it works pretty good and it is over the counter now!.!.!.!.!. But allergies can lead to sinus infections!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It probably is still a sinus infection since you have pus in your mucus, hence the yellow 'hue!.'

If you get in the shower and let the warm water flow over your sinuses, then turn the water to cool, then back to warm, you will unpack your sinuses and give yourself some relief!. You'll need to do the back-and-forth warm-and-cold for about 2 minutes, at about 15 seconds at a time for each temperature!. I know it sounds crazy, but it works!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can understand fully how you feel with regard to sinus headaches caused by sinus infection!. This is caused by all the mucus buildup within the sinuses which cannot drain off!. This causes poor ventilation and provides the perfect environment for bacteria to proliferate!.

I am not sure if the antibiotics prescribed are strong enough to treat the sinus infection!. There are now some newer types of broad=spectrum antibiotics which targets sinus infection!. An ENT surgeon will be able to advice!.

Even though your nose is blocked, you can try to drain those mucus by performing nasal irrigation!. This really helps a lot and using a mixture of sodium bicarbonate and water solution can also help to destroy bacteria within the nasal passages!.
