Patient disclosure...?!

Question: Patient disclosure!.!.!.!?
I have been unable to find anything on ethics of patients disclosing info on infection to doctors ,especially prior to surgery!. Everything I find only caters to the rights of the patient- as though confidentiality always should supercede everything, including the rights of others to know they may be at risk! At best, this is intellectually unfair!.!.!.Sources!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, if a person with HIV/AIDS has sex with someone, knowingly exposing them to the virus, they can be held liable in a court of law!. I would assume (and we know what that does) that the same law would apply to an HIV/AIDS patient during medical situations!.!.!.!.!. But I get your question!. What if the person has Hepatitis!.!.!.!.!. you would think that they would have to tell the medical community that they were being exposed!. Very interesting thing to think about!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
