Question: Has anyone ever have a FALSE positive on an STD blood test!?!? For example genital herpes!?
My doctor called and said it came back high for my HSV-2(genital herpes) blood test but he wants me to come take another blood test tomorrow to check cause he "can't tell"!.!.!.!.!.
Could this just be a false positive!?!?

If I remember correctly, at least one of the blood tests for genital herpes tests for the amount of antibodies in your blood!. If the result is a high number - you've got herpes!. If it's a low number - you don't have herpes!. But if its an in-between number, then you probably have herpes, but maybe not!. I'll bet that this is why your doctor wants you to take another test!.
You might suggest that he try a completely different type of test - because there are several brands and types!. Some are actually more reliable than others!.

i don't think you can get a false positive std blood test cuz they are checking your blood and blood does not lie!. I'm sorry to hear that you might have a possiblity of having it!. What ever happens be strong and pray, i wish you all the best good luck!!!! BUt if any thing i read that coconut oil is very benefitual to people who have herpes and hiv or std!. Coconut oil might even help regain your bodies normal functions i have been using coconut oil for 6 months now and i haven't gotten sick at all when i usually do but i don't have those diseases!. search online u will find interesting info!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
