STD's, etc?!

Question: STD's, etc!?
How long would you begin to show symptoms for an STD after contracting it!? I know, obviously, different ones have different gestation periods, etc!. But I have been with my boyfriend or over a year and I have not once cheated on him!. But right now there is this patch down there inside of my labia right beside my clitoris (gross I know!. sorry!.), and I'm starting to get worried about it!. It's inflamed and that's it!. No bumps, no anything, just irritated and a little itchy!. I think it might just be irritation stemming from razor burn or something because i did have razor burn a few days ago, because I'm sure my boyfriend wouldn't cheat on me either, but my question is!.!. what is the longest time between the time one would contract an std and the time they would start showing symptoms!?!? I dont' know much about the gestation periods, different circumstances, etc!. so I was hoping someone else would know more than I did! Thanks in advance! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It could be a yeast infection (also known as thrush or candida), which can develop from spores which are always on our bodies and everywhere in our environment!. They can overgrow due to a change in the pH value of your skin, and they love warm, moist parts of the body!

If you've used a different shower gel lately, or other stuff on that area that you haven't used before, or been wearing nylon undies, you could have developed a reaction to that too!. It's very tender!!

To clean the area you don't need soap, but something gentle like plain, unperfumed sorbolene cream!.

Good luck!

P!.S!. You ought to get it checked out by a sexual health clinic if possible, and your boyfriend should also be treated!. Even though thrush is not an STD as such, he could certainly reinfect you if he also has it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
