well this is kind ofa wear question but im having my first one today and i was just wondering what to be prepared for!.
does it hurt!?

It is completely normal for you to be nervous and scared, considering you are going to have someone checking your vagina!. well i have had a few in my life time and i always get nervous, here is the thing, the vagina is a very flexible muscle, which means the more nervoous you are the more contracted it will get and it will bother more!. It doesn hurt!.!.!. it feels uncomfortable and a bit weird, but if you relax (i know its hard to do) it will be A LOT BETTER believe me!! and if you try to be calm it goes by faster because the Dr!. doesnt have a hard time trying to reach your uterus!.!.!. the dr!. will place a speculum inside your vagina and take a look and swab your uterus(which u dont even feel) and then he takes the speculum out and places his fingers inside where he/she feels for any unnormal things!.!.!. and then you're set!.!. you will be fine!.!. no worries!.!.!. remember its better if you are relaxed!.!.!. It doesn't hurt!. It is a little uncomfortable, but the doctor should make you feel comfortable!. It is quick!. Don't be scared!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it all depends on your body and how relaxed you are!. it does hurt me some and it is very uncomfortable and kinda embarressing to have some stranger looking at your "down stairs"!. but try to relax count the tiles on the ceiling or something to keep your mind distracted!. it is a quick procedure even though it may seem like its taking forever!. and thats good you are getting one!. you should at least once a year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Make sure the doctor knows that this is your first time!. They are really good at explaining what is going to happen before you do it!.

No, it's just a feeling of discomfort more than anything!. the good news is that the doctor performs it fairly quickly, so it's not much to worry about!.

i had a student nurse do mine once, and i had to have it redone because she didn't do it right!. to make matters worse, it had hurt me!.
i doubt it will hurt!. i've had about 10 of them and only a couple have hurt at all!. they're usually just uncomfortable!. i guess i'm just sensitive on the cervix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
