The sickling is enhanced in people with Hb S disease, and both conditions contribute to anemia (which leads to a reduced capacity of carrying oxygen around the body!.)
This disease is chronic and lifelong, and though individuals are most often well, there can be complications that threaten the life of the person, and therefore should be monitored by a capable doctor!.

sickle cell only effects the black race the effects are bad and the out come is worse!.some people live a long life with minimal treatment , others don;t fair so well !.if you have it than you need to be followed closely by a Dr!.you will need blood transfusions to survive !. look this disease up !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
