I blame Granny or Aunt Rose!

Alot of older relatives don't understand that cold sores on their mouth ARE HERPES!.!.!. they then kiss little kids & give them herpes!.!.!.
which in later years - they have sexual contact and oral sex and spread it to a lover & they don't have any clue where it came from

I'm sorry this happened to you two - but my CONGRATULATIONS to both of you for not pointing fingers & blaming the other for cheating - which is what most couples would do in this situation!.!.!.!.I'm glad you both have such faith in each other

***OTHERS! please ease up a bit!.!.!. realize you're writing to a 15yo*** thanxWww@Answer-Health@Com

So, let's see, you both have genital herpes, but you haven't done anything sexual with anyone else!. There are a couple of possibilities:

1) You have not done anything with someone else, but your partner has and is lying to you!. That's how you got it!.

2) One of you had oral herpes, perhaps by being kissed as a child by someone who had it!. Then you performed oral sex on the other person, and they got the herpes on their genitals!. Then they had an outbreak and passed it on to your genitals!.

If you think that #2 is a possibility, you can go to the doctor and see if you have herpes simplex 1 (oral herpes) on your genitals, which is a possibility!.

Frankly, I'd vote for #1, which is more likely!. Also, someone with genital herpes is more likely to lie and say they never had sex with anyone else, in my opinion!.

I'm sorry to say that you have something that is incurable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even if you were both virgins and had never done oral sex with anyone other than each otehr, if one of you were carrying oral herpes you could have given the other one genital herpes!.

Oral herpes is not usually sexually transmitted, and is carried by most (80%) of the population!. In fact it is usually caught as a baby when a relative kisses you!.

But once one of you has oral herpes, they can infect the other if they perform oral sex!. No symptoms need to be present - in fact the partner can have a silent infection and never recall having a cold sore!.

My boyfriend caught oral herpes when he was five, when his aunt kissed him!. Seven years into our relationship, he gave me oral sex and I got his oral virus on my genitals!.

Far from being an unusual way to get genital herpes, this method of transmission now accounts for up to 70% of herpes infections in young women!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, most people catch oral herpes or the cold sore virus as a child through their parents and other adults kissing them on the cheek etc!.

Once you have oral herpes, you can pass it onto someone else via kissing or via oral sex!. Thus one of you may have had oral herpes, and passed it onto the other via oral sex!.

Well!.!.!. what do you mean by sex partner!? If you mean that you've never had sex with anyone else, but you've maybe "hooked up" with other people without having sex, it's possible that an STD was transferred through touching (not likely) or oral sex (more likely)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe ask the doctor, stds can be passed on other than penetrative sex, like oral for instance!. I dont know enough about herpes to advise you if this could be the case!. Maybe a google search could help tp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you havn't been with anyone else then you can't have an std!.!. Your question is a little confusing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you guys virgins!? If not some one caught it from a previous partner!. SorryWww@Answer-Health@Com
