Question: Question for those who use an Albuterol inhaler!.!.!?
I have seasonal asthma and have been using an Albuterol inhaler for the past year and a half!. I understand that Albuterol is a steroid that your body can become accustomed to if you use it often enough!. I was wondering if any of you have ever experienced any side effects while using Albuterol!? Mood swings!? Stomach upsets!? Weight loss/gain, etc!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you had your doctor review your allergies!? Normally asthma is not seasonal!. I know severe cold can heighten asthma attacks, but it seems odd that your doctor didn't look at this first!. If you are having seasonal attacks, your body could be reacting to an irritant and then getting more complications that appear to be asthma!.
You can have side effects to albuterol, including stomach upset, and steroids have been known to cause mood swings and weight loss/gain!.

Nope, nothing like that, the only negative effects I have experienced are a slighly faster heart beat, and on occasion some dizziness/disorientation, however I only use one while playing soccer, and without one I feel far more dizzy from lack of oxygen, so it could just be that!. I have used one for a while however, and there have been no real side effects!.
Xopenex is what I use now, its similar, but it doesnt make my heart rate increase!. I find its effectiveness tto be the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

iv been using it 4 3 years now and i do have bad tempers but i don't know if it is that I'm quite slim even tho i don't do lots of excises what gives me a quick heart rate cause of the Albuterol inhaler and that's about it

Rapid heart rate, restlessness, insomnia, sick to stomach, weight gain, tempermental,!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you do build up tolerance to the drug and it can do other damage to body!. If you experience side effects, talk to doctor and change medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My husband has used it for years, hes fine!.!.but when I use it for my occasional flare ups!.!.!.I get a rapid heart rate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
