Does anyone know if Lamictal (for bipolar disorder) increase blood sugar levels?!

Question: Does anyone know if Lamictal (for bipolar disorder) increase blood sugar levels!?
I only met with this psychiatrist once for depression!. He gave me an Rx for Lamictal!. Since then, I've noticed my morning readings to be higher than normal!. They used to be in the 90's and now they are right above 100!. Today it was 115!. I'm type 2!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A friend of mine noticed the same thing!. She saw the psychiatrist longer however!. It's really important to make sure that your levels are good so I would keep taking the lamictal until you speak to your doc or psych!. Don't stop suddenly!.

115 isn't so bad for a morning reading, but i know how stressful it can be when your sugar levels are higher than normal- even if they are in the higher normal level!.

good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
