if they have an outbreak or symptoms of one then its pretty much 100%
but if they are on supressive medication and don't have an outbreak the chances are still 2%
even using condoms won't protect u much because they don't cover all areas that herpes can spread to!.
if u want to take the 2% risk then, its up to u to figure out!. if u love them that much then do the research on how to protect yourself!. but could u live with herpes the rest of your life and if it was worth sleeping with that person for it!.

No, it's not gauranteed!. My boyfriend of two years does not have Herpes and we have unprotected sex!.
Whatever the case maybe the person who is infected always should come clean before sexual activity!. This creates trust!. The other person has than the right to chose what that means to them!. If you have unproteced sex than you will definitely get herpes!. But if you use a condom there is a much smaller chance!. But you should always ask the other person if they have an STD, after that it's your decision to have sex with them or not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
