It really depends on the person, and different things work for different people!. Many times singing actually helps people, because it uses different parts of your brain than regular speaking, but still excercises the process!. The same is true of reading poetry!.
Reading things out loud in general will help, try doing it somewhere that you are comfortable, and probably on your own!. You should try to be relaxed when you do this!.
Read the same thing multiple times!. When you have read it out loud many times try reading it to a parent or a friend, or even a pet!. A lot of speech impediments have to do with speaking to people, and not necessarily speech itself, so that's what this one would be good for!.
This one can be counter productive for some people, but works really well for others, so you have to have a positive attitude about it, and if its not working try something else!. Read out loud and when you get to a word that you stutter on, immediately start the paragraph over!. Don't fumble through the word, though it is okay to think conciously about what it should sound like before starting over!. Keep pushing on until you can get through the whole paragraph!. I mostly use this one for music, but I think it can also work in this situation!.
Don't set your expectations too high though, you may end up getting frustrated and causing your problem to get worse!. If it really concerns you you can talk to your parents about it!. Many schools have access to people that can work on speech problems, and your parents, or their insurance, can also pay for somebody outside of your school to help you if everybody decides that it is worth paying for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
