I crave unhealthy food constantly. How do I control my blood sugar and/or lower !


Question: I crave unhealthy food constantly!. How do I control my blood sugar and/or lower my insulin levels!?
I'm insulin resistant and am having a lot of trouble controlling cravings!. I read that high insulin levels can lead to increased appetite, but I've also been stressed lately!. I binge on pastries, candy, chocolate, fried foods, etc!. once every couple days or at least once a week!. It always makes me nauseous and gives me heart palpitations, and feels just plain awful!. I wish I could control this!.

I've tried eating smaller meals throughout the day to control hunger, but it doesn't seem to work all that well!. For one, I'm always running late, so I often don't pack food!. I'm usually out of my house by 8am and not back until 10pm, so that's a lot of food to pack!. I don't exactly have a place to store it either!.

Does anyone who's been here have any tips!?

EAT FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, TRY TO REMEMBER THIS IS YOUR WHOLE BODY THAT YOUR EATING FOR!.!. TRY TO FIND A WAY TO PACK A HEATHLY MEAL THE NIGHT BEFORE AND USE A BACK PACK, LOOKING IN THE CAMPING SECTION OF WALMART OR SEARS FOR A SMALL COOLER THAT WILL KEEP YUR FOOD COLD!. You can start by having a dietician set up a diet for you!. You don't have to pack that much food!. When you get hungary, just go for a walk and try to forget about eating!. It won't hurt to miss a meal!. It is mostly that you are thinking about eating and if you think about something else, then you will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Food cravings, especially cravings for sugar can be controlled by understanding your taste buds!. The regions of the tongue crave different things!. Sugar is sensed at the tip!. If you eat a food with vinegar, such as a vinaigrette on your salad, you will crave fewer sweets!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your doctor about BYETTA!. It is for Diabetics TII and will help your appetite!. DIABETES IS KILLING YOU !. !. !.so it is up to you to slow it down!. EXERCISE!

An improper diet can make you binge - so decide what is important to you - have your body fail you as you BINGE or take control of your life and live healthy!?

I dont know anything about diabetes, but if you crave potato chips (crisps!.!.!.whatever you want to call them) its usually cause you dont have enough salt in your system!. Try a healthier salty snack, like pistachio nuts!. If your craving something sweet, have a piece of fruit!. Im joking - i hate people that say that!. Try something thats not good for you, but still a little healthy!.!.!.like a toffee apple :D

I was serious about the nuts though, and have them unsalted - they are a naturally salty nut!.

I think you should have a refrigerator for you to store healthy foods!. And NEVER store chocolates, pastries etc!. in it!. There's always time for everything!.Think about it, your health is your wealth!. You cannot work well if your health is at stake!. Once you have your frige, every weekend, see to it that you have gone to groceries & supermarket & buy those foods good for you!. Like fruits & veg instead of pastries & chocolates!. Try wheat bread instead of white ones!. Never buy softdrinks coz they have lots of sugar in it!. Even that low calorie or zero calories!. That is even more dangerous to health coz ive read an article that it contains aspartame which can cause poison in our body!. It causes dizzines and frequent headache!. Just drink pineapple juice or tea!. Also, self discipline is very important!. Its all in the mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i was recently diagnosed as a type 2 and im having the same problems!. i dont know how long you have been diabetic!. but i have come to realise that its going to take time to change!. it isnt going to happen overnight!. my stepmom is a rn so it helps a little!. i get the same way i have my weaknesses!. i love icecream and those loaded coffees!. so i set myself a date now that i can have JUST ONE lol lol!. so fridays i get a loaded coffee and sunday nights i get a small icecream with my boyfriend!. if i see them as treats then it gives me something to look forward to!. in advance i pack little sandwich bags to bring with me places!. i load them with pretzels, gram crackers, chex mix, pringles, etc!. i eat every couple hours something really small and this helps me during the day!. i keep individual wrapped candy around the house!. when i get a sweet tooth i eat a couple!. i dont get that sugar free crap cause i can tell the difference!. one or two every now and again wont kill me and its better then over doing it!. sometimes i can get away with sugar free pudding with fruit for sweet tooths!. pineapple juice and strawberries help!. there loaded with carbs!. but what is better!? the carbs from strawberries or eating a giant cinnamon roll lol!.!.!. diet sodas and watered down fruit juices!.!. tea is really good too!. those are a couple things i am doing and im losing weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.This is such a common problem and it is so easy to get carried away with binging!. Actually it has been proven that eating sugary things or bad carbs will make you crave more of them!. Your blood sugar is probably not in good control, because you want to eat a lot!. Try the South Beach diet!. It can help you a lot!. It is not an exchange diet, does not count calories or carbs!. It will teach you about good and bad carbs, and it is a very healthy diet for diabetics!. It will not cause ketones to rise like the Atkins diet can do!.!. this is bad when you are diabetic!. You can get a paperback copy at Walmart for $12!.00!. It gives you lists of foods you can and cannot eat!. It has good snack ideas to!. My nutritionist suggested it to me!. She and both of her sons are type 1 and she uses this diet all the time!. It's very easy and you do not have to have a lot of money to start it!. It will also teach you how to eat out!. Skip phase one and start with phase 2!. You should also have a dietitian or nutritionist to work with you!. They can be great helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
