Okay!. This is going to be a long answer, but if it helps you it's worth it!. Trust me on this: be gentle with your son's skin!. As much as you want to scrub scrub scrub and dry those suckers out, in the long run these types of treatment won't help your skin!. Here is what I've started doing (I had awful acne) that works for me!. I'm 18 now!.

1!. Tel him to wash his face twice a day!. Find something very gentle!. I wouldn't even recommend a facial cleanser with salicylic acid or acne advertisement!. Try a very gentle, natural soap made with natural products and oils (yes, a bit of oil is /good/ for your skin!) like shea butter and goat's milk!. Or if that's not easy to come by, get the gentlest drugstore one you can He just needs to clean his face, not irritate it!. Getting the dirt and oil off is enough!.

2!. Buy a non-alcoholic toner (I use Neutrogena) to swab across his face with a cotton ball after washing!. This helps get off the excess makeup/facial oils he may have missed!.

3!.MOISTURIZE! Twice a day!. His skin may be oily oily oily, but I guarantee he needs a moisturizer!. Find one that's oil-free that has sunscreen to protect his face!. Rather than making your face oily, if he puts it on after his toner morning and night, it will keep his face soft!. If your son dries out his skin with products he will only produce MORE facial oil to hydrate his skin!. Using a moisturizer protects his face from producing that excess oil which is one cause of pimples!.

4!. Treat the pimples! I'd recommend anything that has a 5% or less content (even better if it's 2!.5%) of benzoyl peroxide!. Any more is too harsh on your skin and is liable to irritate it!. That amount is just enough to dry the suckers out! Place this on before or after moisturizer, it doesn't matter!. The reason I don't recommend using tons of acne products is that they only try to dry up, sting away, and burn off existng pimples!. New ones will come back with a vengeance!.

5!. Other tips: Stay away from harsh scrubs like St!. Ives!. I use a gentle (VERY gentle) facial scrub once or twice a week to get the dead skin off and keep my pores clear!. Aside from that, you could also get a nice facial mask that's designed to tighten your pores and suck away dirt! I use Queen Helene's Mint Mask (not expensive), but I'm sure you can find one that works for you! Also, believe me when I say drink, drink, drink water! It's hard to get enough but you will notice a difference!.

Above all, be PATIENT!. Try not to let him pick unless he knows his zit is about to pop itself!. I have scars from that!.

EDIT: I know it might be weird to your son to 'moisturize' and 'tone,' but I really do think it can help!. Guy or girl, teenage skin is similar: oily and hormonal!. If he treats his skin well and takes good care of it, over time it will help take care of itself from the inside out and his zits should lessen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally, a blackhead is considered as a type of Blackhead vulgaris (blackhead)!. A doctor may be able to recommend some good medication if it's really bad!. A good facewash helps a bit, get him one with a moisturiser mixed in or his face will just be dry and uncomfortable!. Other than that the only thing you can do is make sure that he has a well balanced and nutritious diet and tell him to drink plenty of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have always struggled with acne!. By getting rid of the current blackheads, it will only cause him to break out more!. You should buy him an oil control cleaser (Clearasil Daily works great for me)!. If you want to get rid of the blackheads he got, I would take him to get a facial, by picking the blackhead, all you will do is scar his face!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
