Should I sue for ringworm meds not given?!

Question: Should I sue for ringworm meds not given!?
I took my son to a doctor nearly 2 weeks ago because I suspected he had ringworm in his head!. Once the doc looked at him, she said that it looked like ringworm in his head but on his body it looked like just a rash!. Then she prescribed a topical cream and said that it should do the trick!.!.!.for his head!

Although I'm no doc, I made sure to put the cream on both his head and belly!. In his head there were so many spots that within 2 days the cream was practically gone!. So, I went and purchased selsun blue, lamisil, and blue star ointment!. They started doing the trick on his body, but not his head!. I researched it and every bit of info said that the only way to get rid of the fungus in the head was with oral meds!. I called the doc and she refused to give the oral!. I called another doc and he prescribed shampoo (more than the other doc did)!. After nearly 10 days, it's gotten worse in the head!. So the second doc prescribed oral meds!. Same meds I had requested initially! Should I sue!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am sure you could sue but you won't win!. Many doctors like to avoid putting any child on an antibiotic - just because!.
Most ring worm cases can be treated with a topical first!.
There are many times I have been frustrated with our kids doctors but it happens!. Your son didn't suffer greatly due to the ring worm - if it impacted his physical well being and impaired his life in a bad way you have a case!.!. sadly you just have frustration because the MD played the safe card!.!.!.
and another did what should have been done to start!.!. but as I said many doctors avoid oral antibiotic therapy and are conservative!.

Don't sue!.!.!.here in Canada its rare for people to sue!. It's also unnecessary!. Let it go, and move on with your life!. Suing costs too much money!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont know about sueing
however you should find a doctor to treat this problemWww@Answer-Health@Com

How about this!.!.!. why don't you thank your doctor for being concerned about your child's health!. Topical creams have a local effect on the skin only!. Oral medications are absorbed systemically and can have nasty side effects!. Your doctor was not just trying to be a jerk!. They have gone to school for years, work 80 or more hours a WEEK during their residency, followed by being in practice for x amount of years!. You go on a website and read one little shred of advice, and suddenly you think your doc is an idiot!. And as far as your so-called 'evidence' that you can ONLY get rid of it with oral meds, well that just isn't true!.!.!.!. shampoo is almost always tried first, followed by oral medications if the shampoo doesn't work!. Did you actually read about the meds perscribed!? 6-8 weeks of therapy!.!.!.!. how compliant do you think a child is going to be with that!.!.!.!. most people can't even take antibiotics for 10 days without wanting to stop!.
As far as sueing goes!.!.!.!. ringworm is a harmless, painless condition!.!.!. I'm sure your son is just fine, and will be fine!. He did not require hospitalization, nor did he lose function in any part of his body!. I'm sure if the doc would have perscribed the meds right off the bat, and your son had reacted badly to the meds, you would have sued her for not trying a less risky method first!. Don't waste the court's time with something stupid like this!.!.!.!. they have real malpractice and negligance cases to deal with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
