Could stress have caused me to have low thyroid levels?!

Question: Could stress have caused me to have low thyroid levels!?
Answers:
Yes!. Without going into detail (the endocrine system is my least favorite system to teach about!), stress affects your adrenal glands, which affects your thyroid gland!.

Stress has the potential to adversely affect every part of your body!.

Trust your physician!. If you're on thyroid medication now, you may need to wait those two months for your body to adjust to the dosage!. If you're not on thyroid medication, your physician probably wants to wait and retest to make sure there is really a problem!. Taking thyroid hormones when you don't need them can cause serious adverse reactions!.

Hypothyroidism (low thyroid levels) can be inherited, stress-related, pregnancy-related, age-related, even chemical-exposure-related!. After the birth of my child, I became hypothryoidic for years but my thyroid is functioning normally now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stress is strange!. it can influence the mind and the mind can do awesome things!. But there are other hormones that cause you to gain weight!. The adrenals can wreak havoc!. TSH is dependent on a different mechanism than are adrenals!. Exercise can regulate stress and tone muscles!. Just go have your TSH tested and get some sun and exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
