Answers:
You can purchase a regular multi-vitamin without iron in it!.
When one has hcv infection, it is never okay to over do vitamins (or anything else for that matter)!.
Prenatals have more percentages and can cause other issues as the liver cannot tolerate an over abundance of any substance!.
I took a multivitamin without iron in it and still continue to do so even though I have a sustained virologic response!. The only difference is I'm taking one for a woman because I am one!. :o) I can tell you this, when I took more than the daily allowance of vitamin c, it caused my urine to become highly acidic, thus, burning the tender flesh of the vaginal area!. This was not only a sign I was taking too much, it was a sign my body was not absorbing it fast enough!. (Liver damage will cause our bodies to become toxic because it doesn't filter as fast or in some cases hardly at all)!.

Although vitamins are good for anyone who can tolerate them, it is actually water that has more bearing on how fast and healthy our hair is!. (not enough water intake will cause the hair to break off) this results in having a hard time when trying to make it grow long!.

For the poster above me: iron and hepatitis do not mix, this is why she is asking for a multivitamin without iron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

taking vitamins shouldn't have any effect on the hepatitis!.

Your hair isn't going to grow longer from vitamins!. There's a maximum length a person's hair will grow - it varies from person to person, and depends on the hair follicles!.

BTW - "prenatal" vitamins are expensive!. They aren't any different than "normal" vitamins, other than having a little more follic acid and iron!.

And, taking extra iron isn't bad for you!. Like anything, too many vitamins is not good for your liver!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
