Answers:
Heart failure affects the lungs to the point that people usually are admitted to the hospital and can barely breathe because their lungs are full of fluid!. Eventually they need to be placed on a ventilator!. They can be weaned off the vent and go home, but there comes a time when it becomes harder to get off the vent!. usually decisions need to be made a head off time to decide whether or not the patients wants everthing done or not!.
Nan has it right!. their skin becomes what we call motteled or what looks like a red rash!. they will lose conscience eventually!. If they are not on a vent, their breathing will become very labored until they just take one big breath only 4-5 times a minute!.!.!.!.!.!.!.unfortunately then they die!. I hope that this is not too graphic, but being a nurse in the hospital, I've been with a lot of people during their last breaths!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

their extremities turn purplish/blue colored!. Nail beds are blue also!. Breathing becomes more labored and shallow with rattling sound sometimes!. Blood pressures top and bottom numbers come closer to being the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
