You may have pulled your chest muscles when you twisted your back!. It sounds like muscle pain, since every time you bend down it hurts!. If it was heart related, you might have shortness of breath, sweating, nausea, or weakness with the chest pain, or the pain may radiate to your neck or arms!. Men and women don't always have the same kind of symptoms, with heart attacks, though!. Stress can cause chest pain called angina, which usually is not serious!. I'd call a doctor, if it persists!. Or if your chest pain is associated with any of the above symptoms, call 911!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most likely this is all stress because the body has lots of nerves!.!. and if you get stressed the nerves can contract!. some get bad headache all from stress that is also due to nerves in the brain contracting!.!.!. and it's very painful and some get chest pain and others get severe stomach pain or get sick and can't eat when they have a lot of stress so yes I believe all you need to do is relax!.!. just breathe and take a brake!.!.!. take a walk!.!. have a soothing bath!.!. just take a little bit of time and listen to relaxing music!.!.!. I am sure that is all it is!.!. and you can contribute to getting rid of some of the pain if you allow yourself not get too stressed!.!.!.
Your heart is fine!.!. I am sure!.!.!.but go have your vital signs checked and have ECG done but I am certain this sounds exactly like stress!.!. my husband has bad headache because he is studying for some computer exam and he gets headache now for a week and it won't go away because he doesn't relax and doen't take time out !.!. once in a while so he got to suffer with the headache!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like stress, and that you may have pulled a muscle which is a lot easier to do when you are stress!. Try taking some ibuprofen, and see if that helps, if not see your doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are many reasons for chest pains (mine was a heart attack, but I was 38 back in 1999)!. It doesn't mean that's why your chest hurts!.

A doctor would diagnose your problem far better than people on Yahoo Answers!. Call your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most likely stress related but you need to see your doctor to make sure it's nothing else!. goodluck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dear Gmat:

I suppose you're worried that you are getting ready for the full-blown heart attack!

It is said that women often do not have the 'chest' pain that most men experience!.

The fact that your pain increases (or exacerbates) when you twist your back and bend down tells me that your pain is related to a pulled muscle!. Heart pain related to Myocardial Infarction (also called "Heart Attack" or "MI") does not change with body movement!.

Often, we can pull a muscle and not know it at the time!. If you think back over the prior 3 days before this pain started, you may remember performing some simple task that could have strained a muscle!. Such as unloading a heavy box from the top shelf, coughing extra hard, carrying heavy books, trying to open a window that is painted shut!.

The non-modifiable risk factors (you can't change them) for heart disease are as follows:

Age
Family history

The modifiable risk factors (you have ability to change) for heart disease are:

Obesity
Cholesterol
Cigarette smoking
Stress
Hypertension (high blood pressure)

The symptoms of a heart attack vary in people:

Chest pain - can feel like a truck sitting on your chest
Shortness of breath
Diaphoresis - profuse sweating
Pain - that can radiate to either side of jaw, either arm, can be sternal pain, or either side of chest

In the Emergency Department, the first thing the nurse does is to administer 4 baby aspirin (equates to 240 mg)!. You've seen the Bayer commercial!? Aspirin is an ANTI-PLATELET, acts quickly to provide some help in a real MI!. Next is take the blood pressure and get the family history and/or go immediately for the ECG (Electrocardiogram)!. This provides a tracing of the heart electrical activity from many angles and the trained reader can identify the problem, if any!.

BOTTOM LINE: Strained muscle - you must be getting old!Www@Answer-Health@Com
