Slow wound healing can be an indication you have Diabetes!. However, by the time you had that problem, if it were caused by Diabetes, you would have experienced the hallmark symptoms of Diabetes - excessive thirst and frequent urination!.

There are other reasons that would explain slow wound healing!. A compromised immune system would cause that; and there are many reasons that could explain a compromised immune system!. Poor nutrition can also damage the body's ability to heal wounds!.

I strongly suggest you have a complete physical!. If you do, indeed, heal slowly enough for it to be noticeable, you should be checked out!. This is especially important if you suspect you have Diabetes!. Tell your doctor about the fact that you heal slowly, and let him/her take it from there!. The doctor will know what things to check for!.

I wouldn't worry about worst-case scenarios like Leukemia, which would alter he ability to heal!. There is probably a less-serious reason for it!. However, it is important for you to see a doctor to find out why!.

It could, but other factors are involved, your metabolism, what you eat, your general health and hygiene!. Diabetes, if your blood sugar is not controlled, slows down blood circulation, diminishing the transport of oxygen and nutrients to your cells, which slows the healing process!. Keep wounds clean and dry, if any wound persists, seek medical advice!. This way you could have your blood sugar level checked at the same time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've noticed that as I've gotten older I heal slower!. I also know that due to my diabetes I heal slower!. If you are depressed you can heal slower!. Lots of factors can contribute to healing slower!. Your diet also!. So while it does not preclude it, it does not mean it!. Just some thoughts!.
