Exercising with neuropathy in legs?!

Question: Exercising with neuropathy in legs!?
I'm a type 2 diabetic, and I hadn't been taking care of my bloodsugars!. Now I'm sticking to a strict insulin therapy!. However, once I started taking the insulin, I had very bad pains in the outside sections of the lower part of my leg whenever I would walk for more than 3 or so minutes!.

After trying a few different things, my doctor said I have neuropathy, and she has prescribed my Lyrica!. Since taking the insulin, I have put on 30 lbs!. in about 3 months!. I had cut back on my eating, so I asked my doctor!. She said insulin can make you gain weight if you are inactive!. So I want to be active, but until the Lyrica starts kicking in, it's too painful too do walking!.

I've found that the elliptical machines and the biking machines don't hurt my legs too much!. Does anyone know of other types of exercises I could do that wouldn't hurt my legs!?

On the elliptical machines, I've been doing the cross training modes!. Is there a better mode for weight loss and overall better health!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I'm not mistaken, I believe MamaSmurf is referring to PVD (Peripheral Vascular Disease)!. If I'm wrong, I apologise to you, MamaSmurf!.

Peripheral Vascular Disease affects the lining of the body
