Does the thought of having to live with the virus for the rest of your life make you depressed, especially when you look at the fact that it isnt socially accepted, as just a minor condition, but rather some disgusting disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have my own anger about why people who have herpes on the mouth can talk about it and be accepted while there is a stigma attached to where mine is, and I do find it hard that it is such a minor thing but 'people' in the abstract treat it as a huge big deal, however my personal experiences have been all good!.
I haven't yet met a guy who didn't accept it automatically - maybe girls react differently!.
And no one I have told sees it as a big deal!. They all say it is 'just a cold sore'!. Everyone seems to get those where I live!.
So in the personal sense people react fine!. But yes, in the abstract sense - young people, people on the internet, in the press - the stigma is hard to deal with!. Every time it crops up in the papers as some terrible monster it angers me, because I know different!. Especially because the same press treats cold sores in a completely different way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I have the 'disgusting disease' and have had since 1992! And no, it was not thru being promiscuous!. I am happily married and my husband isn't bothered about 'it', but only how it was given to me!. Yes, I do get depressed about it but if you were in my shoes, you would too given the circumstances!. There are worse things out there, and I have just had to learn to live with it!. You can get acyclovir tablets which suppress the virus, therefore, lessening the attacks!. So you see all is not lost!. The best thing victims can do, is stay positive!Www@Answer-Health@Com
i dont have genital herpes but i have herpes cold sores!.!.and i still feel so bad for the negativity of this virus that doesnt even have to do with somebody sleeping around!.!. its the idea that the person did not know they had the virus from possibly a simple kiss from a aunt that pass it on when they were a child!.!.then they had oral and passed it on!.!. so sad!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Wouldn't know but it cant be as bad as having AIDS!.!.!.!.genital herpes aren't seen and people don't know you have it unless you chose to tell them!. AIDS is seen whether you want it to been seen or not!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
