Heart rate question!?!

Question: Heart rate question!!?
Ive been having a slow heart rate for the past 3 days(51 on blood pressure machine, but 55+ when I take it on my wrist) and I went to the hospital today and the EKG was fine!. My HR wasnt slow(89 during blood pressure, and 67-75 on EKG machine)

If there was a problem with my heart, the EKG would have picked it up, right!? Its not all of the time that my HR is down, its when Im sitting down doing hw or watching tv!.!.not at the hospital nervous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

50s isn't terribly low!. are you in any medications like metoprolol/lopressor or atenolol or anything ending with -olol!? that can cause bradycardia, or a low heart rate!. if you're an athlete you can have a low heart rate!. or sometimes people just have low resting heart rates!. not really a big deal as long as you're not having any symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, fatigue or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A heart rate below 60 beats per minute is very low!. How do you know how to measure your heart rate!? Try taking your index, middle, and ring finger and placing it firmly over the pulse on your wrist that is on the same side as your thumb (radial pulse)!. Press down on the pulse with those 3 fingers and get a watch or clock with a second hand!. Just make a note of where the second hand is when you are starting to count the pulses!. Count them for one full minute!. A normal pulse for an adult should be anywhere from 60 to 100 beats per minute!. Do this several times and make comparisons!. Don't rely on the machine you used because it may be defective!. As for the EKG, it would have picked up any abnormalities, so I think you are just counting wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If there are no negative side effects like light headedness or fainting; I think that would indicate that your heart is working more efficiently!. Your brain controls how quickly it beats based on the body's need for blood!. So it should be a little lower when you are lounging!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
