Can strep throat turn into pneumonia???!

Question: Can strep throat turn into pneumonia!?!?!?
The Dr!. said it was strep throat!. Then after taking the anti-biotic as prescribed (for 8 days so far) and doing everything like the Dr!. said she began throwing up today!. No fever, was a little pale, acted fine right after she was done throwing up (before she started again), I haven't heard about any chest or back pains, just throwing up and a lot of coughing that she was doing anyhow before it all began!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know if strep can turn into pneumonia, I just got over it about a week ago!. My Dr!. had me on antibotics for 10 days , and once before a few years ago I had it and I was really sick with high fever this time my Dr!. had me on antibotics for l0 days plus he had me come in for a pencillian shot 2 times in one week!. You need to contact your Dr!. about this she could have a secondary infection!. Did she ever break out in a rash!. This sometimes will go with strep!. If strep is not treated right it will keep coming back!. I hope she get to feeling better really soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If any person is not breathing deeply enough moisture can gather in the lungs providing a good environment for bacteria to form and pneu could be one of them!. With strep they are usually worried about resistant germs and secondary infections!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The rash and throwing up indicates that she is allergic to the medication!.

Please stop taking the medication NOW

it's likely she has more then strep throat, or the test lied!. if thats possible!. but the test is fairly reliable, so maybe she just is sicker then plain old strep throat!. no disease can turn into another one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
