Aside from experimentation on myself through elimination and exposure- is there any way for doctors to test for food allergy!? I think I'm allergic to something in cherry coke!. It gives me the runs 5 min!. after I drink it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think they can take blood tests for something that reacts

HOWEVER "the runs" is not an allergy!. It is an intolerance!. It is not an allergic/immune reaction!. It is a digestion thing!.

An allergic reaction would be things like itching, rash, redness, swelling, inflammation (and in serious cases swelling of throat, tongue, etc!.!. hard to breathe)

Intolerance is usually any sort of digestive problem!.

(Do you drink any other kinds of pop!? because I'd think that the sugar syrup it is made out of would cause that!.!.!. i dont know why it would be just cherry coke)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had an allergic reaction once, all the doctors asked me to do was document what I ate/drank and when and also when I the rash got worse or just came back!. That's the only real test I think!. It's just like when you get diagnosed for a disorder!. Nothing like checking out your internal body or anything, just tests and questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

umm its like a big piece of plastic that has pokey things in it!. on every pokey thing theres a sample of something and they push it into your back!. if theres a little red bump where one of the pokey things was it means youre allergic to it!. if they dont find anything with that, they inject another sample into your arm to see if it finds the allergy better!.
it sounds like it hurts but its not that bad!.
why dont you just not drink cherry coke!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you to an immunologist they will put chemicals on your skin that replicate an allergic reaction!. After the dot is placed on your skin they will make a knick on your skin (not deep enough to bleed) and they will see if you are allergic or not!. It doesn't hurt my brother had almost 250 tests like that as a toddler and didn't complain it isn't bad at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

usually they take some substance from the food product and they inject it into you and they see if there is any reaction to your body or something like that lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

Exposure is the best way!. Sounds like your "fake cherry intolerant" stay away from it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They do a patch test--- they p!.rick your skin with tiny amounts of the substance, and then check for a reaction!.

(Edit: It's funny how YA censored the word "p-r-i-c-k")Www@Answer-Health@Com
