Question: Traumatic Brain Injury!?
Does any one know of any one that has recoverd from sevear brain trauma the patient is alert but not responsive I beleve he is in a vegitative state with his eyes open it has been 7 months since the injury is there any hope!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My 18 year old stepson recovered from a TBI, but he was only in a come a for a few weeks!. After he woke up, he couldn't speak, write!.!.!.!.!.!.he had no memory of any kind!. And now, it has been 5 years, and he is still continuing to make improvements!. He will never be the way he was,but he now has a job, he can walk, and he lives in his own apartment with minimal supervision!. Since the patient you are speaking of is obviously in a much more serious state than my step son, I would say his level of recovery will probably not be as extensive!.!.!.BUT, there could still be small improvements for years to come!. Never give up, and never ever underestimate what the patient can do under the right type of care!. We were told my stepson would be a vegetable the rest of his life, and he defied those odds!.
