Cancer question?!
Question: Cancer question!?
Okay, My 97 year old great grandmother recently had a lump form above her breast!. she was taken to the doctor and from what i have heard they did an ultrasound on the lump and told her it was cancer and then the doctor said they wanted to do a Mastectomy on both of them!.
A couple days ago my mom was talkin to her friend about it and she said her husband who was talking this medicince had the same thing happen!. So, my mom asked my mamaw if she is taking the medicine and she is!. and my mom researched the medicine and that could be a possible side affect!.
I questioned my mom about why they didn't do a biopsy on the lump!. and she told me that they said the cancer would speard if they did anything to it!.
So my questions are!.!.!.
1!. Doesn't it normally take more than one test to figure out you have breast cancer!?
2!. Is it true or false cancer can spread if you do a biopsy!.

to answer your question here goes i am a nurse for 12 years plus,i have never in my 12 years of nursing heard a doctor just do one test and BAM you have cancer !.i am a CANCER SURVIVER and it took more than just one test !.on the breast they should have done a mamogram ,then if they found something then they do a sonogram if they confirm that they are something there then they go to a surgeon which sets you up for a biopsy !.for your great grandmother to be the age she is it is not good for her to have any thing done !.also if she has conjestive heart failure she can not be put to sleep so my first suggestion is to be sure to tell your mother that dont let them go foolin around with her just because she is so old because they dont give a sh!.!.!. because they just get there money and dont care if you bury any one or not !.so please my e-mail address is suzie!.cline@yahoo!.com please email me and talk to me futher so i can talk to you more about this i am worried for your grand mother if she is 97 years old and has conjestive heartfailure !.i hope to hear from you give your grandmother my reguards and peace and love to youWww@Answer-Health@Com

I work for several hospitals as a contract employee and work with a lot of doctors and I have yet to meet one who does not give a damn about their patients!. I hope you are misinformed about your great-grandmother
