Penicillian allergy?!
Question: Penicillian allergy!?
My son, 3 years old, has broken out with this hive type rash a little over a month ago!. It was clearing up and he recently started up a round of penicillian for an ear infection and now that we are 7 days into it the rash has flared up all over again!. I had originally thought nothing of his first rash because we had went on vacation to my mothers and he has sensative skin and figured it was just from a change in the climate, water etc!. But now that I have actually thought about it he had recently finished a round of penicillian treatment (10 day treatment)about 3 days before the rash appeared!.
They do not itch, burn or stung him!. They do not trouble him at all, just me!
I was wondering if anyone with a mild allergy to this drug or form of this drug has had a similar rash!? Besides the meds he has not ingested or come in contact with anything out of the ordinary!.

Usually a rash caused by an allergic reaction itches like heck!. and the rash looks nothing look like this!. Not trying to scare you, your son looks like he could have staph!. He should be taken immediately to the doctor for this!. Chances are the largest sore on his leg was the first to erupt!. The others are from it spreading!. Besides this stopping an antibiotic 7 days into treatment will cause him to develop a resistance to antibiotics!. Please call your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds like he may have an allergy!. you should take him in to be safe!. My father just went to the hospital a week ago for that!. He has always taken penicillin and had no problem till about a year ago!. He started getting slight rashes!. Then last week he took it and got a rash and then started swelling up!. He barely made it to the hospital!.!. I would hate to have that happen to you!. Just to be safe i suggest taking him in to be checked!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
I am allergic to penicillin!. My whole body starts looking like an underdeveloped crab thrown into boiling water!.
My allergy is also mentioned on my ID bracelet next to the alcohol intolerance!.

If you have a family history of an allergy to a certain antibiotic, it is possible that other families members may too!. If you are not sure then call your physician or mention that the next you time you see the doctor if your child has this allergy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Penicillin allergies are fairly common!. If one is suspected then you should stop giving him the penicillin!. since continued exposure can lead to a more severe reaction!. There are many other antibiotics that will not cause a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i'm allergic to penicillin and i broke out with the same exact rash!. The doctor just had me soak in aveeno until the rash cleared up :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
