Glands in my neck have been swollen for 5 days...Please Help!!!?!

Question: Glands in my neck have been swollen for 5 days!.!.!.Please Help!!!!?
On Thursday morning I woke up with what I thought was just something in my eye!. It kept bothering me over the weekend even though I tried numerous eye drops and eye salves!. None of them worked!. When I woke up Saturday morning my glands in my neck and in front of my ear had swollen!. By Monday morning I had a sore throat and a black eye and the other one was acting up!. I went to the eye doctor and he said I had a severe bacterial eye infection!. I have been on antibiotic eyedrops and antibiotics by mouth since Monday!. My eyes are much better but my glands are still swollen and hurting!. They don't seem to have went down any!. My throat is not quite as sore but my glands are driving me crazy!. Can anyone tell me what to do about this!. Will it go away or do I need other meds!?!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

So sorry you are not feeling well!. I recommend that you call the doctor back and let him/her know your symptoms!.

In addition, my step-father, who is a chiropractor, recommends this procedure for swollen glands!.

Get some light lotion and put it on your finger - you are using the lotion as a lubricant!. Apply firm pressure in a downward motion towards your throat, starting just above the gland an moving down towards your voice box!. If your glands are sore, this may hurt some, just from the pressure!. This helps the glands drain into your throat where all the nasty stuff falls down into your stomach and gets killed by your stomach acid (sorry for the TMI, but it's not completely crazy)!. Do this every hour or two!.

In addition, heat is an excellent way to boost your body's ability to fight bacterial infection!. So, get a heating pad and apply moist heat for as long as you can stand it as often as you can stand it!.

Feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

your glands are part of you lymph system, kind like a lift station around town that move water for the water planet to your home!.!.!. the glands are fighting this infection you have and it must be relatively severe for your glands to stay that way!.!.!. have you ever checked to see if you are diabetic!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might of got strep throat, or the bacteria could have moved, your best best is to go to the doctors office, unless you have amoxicillian at home, it helps the bacteria leaveWww@Answer-Health@Com

Like one person has already said, the glands take a long time to go down again!. Sometimes a month!. If they're not better after a month, then you should go back to the doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
