Because it's elective, cosmetic surgery!. And surgery has huge risks!. From infection, to death!. In this case, blindness is a risk!. In our society, we have decided to consider minors unable to competently judge those risks and give informed consent!. Without informed consent, a doctor can not perform surgery!. I Guess That You Don't Keep Up With The News!. It Has Recently Been On The Television News & In The Newspapers & On The Internet ,That There Are Problems Showing Up With Lasik Surgery Patients ! Some Patients Have Worse Eyesite Than Before The Surgery!. Burning Eyes & Constantly Itching Eyes Are Another Problem That Lasik Patients Are Telling Of!. These Are Permanent Problems!. Partly because your body is still developing!. This would include your eyes and the inner workings of your eyes as well!. What's considered corrective now, could turn out to be ineffective as you grow!. least thats my guess!. Sensitivity!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, you're not entirely done growing in your teens!. Why try to correct your eyes if they're still growing!? It could do more harm than good!. Also, it's a procedure with inherent risks (blindess)!. Best to make that decision as an adult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
