Answers:
According to NEDA 2002 an estimated 10 million female and 1 million males suffer from eating disorders!. Check out this site, it has all the information you need and it shows information from researchers in the field!.
http://www!.nationaleatingdisorders!.org/p!.!.!.

The amount is uncertain because some individuals who suffer from this disorder choose to be secretive (or in denial) about it and doctors aren't forced to report eat disorder cases to heath agencies!. Good luck with your paper!Www@Answer-Health@Com

a good source is the American Psychiatric Association, they publish the DSM-IV TR ( its like a mental disorders handbook and has a lot of info on eating disorders in it)!.
Off the top of my head, eating disorders afffect adolescent, white, middle class girls dramatically more than any other group!.
the lifetime prevalenec for anorexia nervosa is !.5% for females and less than one-tenth that for males!.
Bulimia nervosa is more common, 1-3% for females and less than one-tenth that for males!.
Both anorexia and bulimia have age of onset in early adulthood, with anorexia starting a little earlier!.
Try a google search and look at webmd, APA, and other psychology sites but avoid wikipedia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
