Question: Anyone suffering from Epilepsy!?
I'm curious to learn about it because my friend has it!.!.!.though I don't see him around school very often!.!.and he didn't exactly TELL ME (untill he had a sezuire)
I'm writing a story!.!.and one of the characters has epilepsy!. To me the brain is a very interesting topic and I've been re-searching a couple diseases for awhile now!. But I haven't really talked (or heard from) anyone who actually has it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My sister has epilepsy!. It was really scary when I first saw her having a seizure!. I was only six when she had one and she was an infant then!. She is now 14, and hasn't had one since she was a baby!.!.!. She was put on medications, and is now a healthy teenager, living a normal life!. It still scares me thinking that at any moment she could still have one!. I love my sister very much, but I learned that she probably won't live a very normal life!. Because she has epilepsy she probably won't drive!.!.!. She is looking forward to college, and having a life at 18!.!.!. Her brain developed slower then others, so even though she is 14 she still acts like she is a little younger!. The writes like a 4th grader still learning cursive!. It's pretty hard, and she knows that she has epilepsy, and takes her meds on her own!.!.!. I know sometimes it gets tough for her, and gets a little frustrated when she can't do things that other kids her age can go!. Everyone her age is really mature, but she is like the child of the crowd and sometimes feels like she doesn't fit in!. I think it's great that you're writing a story with a character with this illness!.!.!. I hope this helps some what!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hello, I'm 25 years old!. I've had the "disease" since I was 9 months!. I've taken just about every drug there is to cure this miserable state of being!. I still can't drive!. I've never had a single date - EVER, probably because of the fact that I can't drive a car!.
I've currently had 2 brain surgeries - once in 1st grade, and once on my 10th birthday!. I then had a gamma knife surgery when I was 20 years old!. To this day, I'm almost cured, I have seizures once every 6 months!. I'm currently thinking of getting a VNS surgery to help me whenever a seizure comes on!.
