Answers:
Hiatus hernia is a protrusion of the stomach through the diaphragmatic hiatus!. Most hernias are asymptomatic, but an increased incidence of acid reflux may lead to symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)!. Diagnosis is by barium swallow!. Treatment is directed at symptoms of GERD if present!.
A new procedure called endoluminal fundoplication uses a special scope (endoscope) to place small clips on the inside of the esophagus!. The procedure is done to help prevent reflux!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know my mum-in-law had an "hereditary" problem with
this complaint, & the surgery then was "awesome"! Perhaps times have changed, but perhaps U'r better taking diet
advice & consulting a specialistWww@Answer-Health@Com

A friend of mine had this done a few years ago and had no problems with the procedure or any problems afterwards!. He said it was a doddle so absolutely nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
