I'm 19 and have kidney stones, why?!

Question: I'm 19 and have kidney stones, why!?
I eat healthy, I'm not overweight, i'm young and active!. I have kidney stones, i don't know why, my doctor said that i have prostatitus but i can't find any link between the two, plus i've taken antibiotics for over a month now for the p-itus, and i should be over it!.

I'm very confused, and plan on going to the doctor tommorow, but i'm worried!. My lower back HAS been hurting (especially my right kidney), and i keep getting off and on fevers!.

Please someone help!. I'll appreciate ANY help or advice!.

Same issue as you, though I am 35!. Similar lifestyle too!.

Been getting stones for 4 years, on and off!.

The pain SUCKS

Tea is fine but AVOID COFFEE!.

I also have prostatitis, and I have been told that there are connections because my prostate condition is related to an infection in the prostate that came from the kidney originally!. Trouble is that prostate infections are persistent and hard to treat!. Requires strong, specialised antibiotics!.

My email is open, let me know how it goes, and i will send you more information when i get it!. Would like to get more info from you RE: treatment if possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Kidney stones can be caused by low calcium levels, too much red meat, not enough purified water!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Coffee, tea, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a kidney stone when I was 22!. I was young and active, but I did drink a lot of colas throughout the day, at that time!. I thought maybe that had something to do with it!.
My lower back hurt like hell- second-worst pain I ever experienced!. The doctor gave me laxatives and I passed the stone!. I didn't change my diet in particular, but I haven't had a stone since then!. I am 45 now!.
From what I've heard, the doctors don't really know exactly why some people get kidney stones!. I think I did drink more water afterward, and maybe that has helped prevent new stones!. I've also gotten saliva duct stones, which are annoying but far less painful than kidney stones!. And I believe I have gallstones but they are not bothersome as long as I keep to a low-fat diet!.
I hope your stones pass and you don't have them again!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will take some workup to give you a definitive answer as to why exactly you have formed kidney stones!. There are some metabolic disorders that affect how you utilize calcium and other trace minerals which can make you prone to stones, and sometimes you can form them just because you are unlucky!. It may also be related to how much fluid you drink and how often you actually empty your bladder!. The longer urine sits around the greater the chance for infections and kidney stones to form!. An infection in the bladder can easily spread to the prostate gland, it's just a short hop up the trail from bladder to prostate!. I think you might do better to see a urologist, actually- to figure out what's causing the problem!. Once you get an infection in the urinary system it can be a trick to clear it sometimes- there's a lot of plumbing to deal with!. You may well have either a kidney infection, or another stone on the way- it will take some tests to find out which it is!. In the meantime, you will want to drink a lot of fluid, enough to be going to the bathroom at least every 3 or 4 hours, and it wouldn't hurt to drink cranberry juice blends to help raise the pH of the urine a bit!. Sorry about this, it does just happen sometimes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
