Heart Palpitations, Tachycardia?!

Question: Heart Palpitations, Tachycardia!?
Okay!. It frustrates me to ask this as I am a vet technologist, which in Australia means we have a Bachelor of Science!. So, of course, a little medical knowledge makes a bad patient!
It frustrates me, because I wish I could answer it myself!. Here goes: palpitations!. If they are what I think and that is when you can feel/see your heart beating in your chest!. I've had this my whole life!. Doesn't everyone though!? I've suffered extreme tiredness forever too!. Battling for narcolepsy diagnosis!. Now on dex!. Tachycardia has kicked in at times (not always)!. Have had a chest xray: clear!. I really should have ecg/ultrasound!? Is there an underlying heart disorder that would cause palpitations, tiredness and cause me to bruise fairly easily!? As a 6 yr old kid, they told my mum they thought leukaemia!. Have had 2 major peaks of tiredness: 16 and now in my 30's!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
one of the side effects of dex is tachycardia, so that could be a major contributor!. But paroxysmal atrial tachycardia could be an issue as well considering your fatigue!. Might be worth it, if only for your peace of mind, to consult a cardiologist and have a work up done!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Check your blood sugar and watch the fat in your diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure if you 're talking tachycardia (rapid heart beats) or arrhythmias (irregular or skipped beats where you skip 1-2 then have quick or harder beats to help catch up)
you need to go to the doctor & get an EKG so they can catch the irregular beats on a monitor- if it only happens sometimes, it might be hard to catch, but ask you doctor if you can come in when you get them next, or you may need to go to the urgent care if it's later at night or a weekend!.
depending on the beats (rapid, irregular- several types of irregular beats), they may give you some medication to help calm & regulate the heart!.
the fatigue could be from stress or anxiety regarding the irregular beats, or from the heart not beating properly itself!.
only an EKG will tell you what is wrong!.
