I had a mild B12 deficiency diagnosed last year, I had some shots and felt a bit better!.
But the symptoms have gradually grown worse, especially the patches of numbness in my limbs, which has now spread to my face (it comes and goes!.)
I get awful fatigue where I can barely move, and really heavy limbs, and sometimes I find it hard to walk and talk, and my vision gets blurry a lot!. It's hard to work and function!.
I had a blood test this week, and my doc said this morning my B12 levels were okay - a bit on the low side, but acceptable (she gave me a shot anyway!.) My diet's not bad - no red meat, but I eat fish, eggs and dairy!.
The doc said if the shot doesn't work, I'd need tests, but didn't elaborate!.
I'm really scared it's MS - apparently the symptoms are similar to B12 deficiency!. My brother has systemic lupus, and Mum had sclerodoma, so autoimmune stuff runs in my family!. I was tested for lupus last year and that came back negative!. Could these be MS symptoms!? I'm scared!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I've heard that Lupus tests come back negative when they're really positive sometimes!.!.!.

you could have a malabsorption problem!. Vitamin deficiencies, fatigue, and lack of good circulation to the body (the numbness) can be related!. I would go to a gastro doc and get tested for celiac, fructose, and others!. However, this is just a wild guess!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
