That is actually a very good question!. First aspirin is a NSAID!. Second, Naproxan can increase bleeding much the same as aspirin!. The difference is that aspirin causes a permanent decrease in platelets aggregation!. This is why it is such a low dose and why nobody will be able to answer this for you!. The latest talk is that the study that proved that aspirin had a beneficial effect was done with a buffered aspirin!. The buffer contains magnesium which is a smooth muscle relaxant that lower blood pressure!. If you need the naproxan, you should stop the aspirin!. You could bleed internally!. If you are taking the 325mg you could try the 81mg!. If you can see an increase in bleeding or bruising, you should stop!.
I am a pharmacist and have had this question before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As of this time, there is no scientific study linking naproxen or naproxen sodium (IE, Aleve) with reduced risk of death during a heart attack!. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends avoiding NSAIDs for people with increased risk factors for heart attacks, although there is no direct correlation between NSAIDs and increased cardiovascular disease at this time!. Naproxen and naproxen sodium are NSAIDs, as is ibuprofen!. Salicylates (aspirin) and acetaminophen are not!.

Therefore I would recommend consulting with your doctor as soon as possible regarding your daily regimen, as I would personally recommend avoiding NSAIDs if you are at an elevated risk for heart disease or high blood pressure (especially given naproxen sodium's linkage to increased hypertension)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good lord, no!. Don't take that much naproxen; you can do horrible damage to yourself!. Naproxen and other NSAIDs can cause stomach bleeding and other internal problems when taken at such high doses!.

The daily aspirin regimen for heart protection is usually 81mg!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. They are two different drugs!. If your doctor is the one who put you on the aspirin regiment, I would not stop that until you speak to him!. I would stop the Naproxyn!. Why are you taking so much per day anyways!? I have arthritis and I only take 600mg a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. They are two different drugs!. You might be doing harm to your stomach with the antiinflammatory!. Your doctor may tell you to switch to baby aspirin, but wait until you hear from him and stop taking the Naproxyn!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No baby aspirin 81 mg a day is the rec dose!.!.!.to much naproxen will eat your stomach lining away and can cause gastric bleeding!.!.!.!.stick with one 81 mg baby aspirin a day!.!.!.for heart protectionWww@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Whilst both aspirin and naproxen are anti inflammatories, aspirin is the only one with cardioprotective effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
