None!. They are a "media carcinogen"!. In other words, obscure information picked up and distributed by the media!. In food grade plastics there is nothing that will harm you!. You can reuse water bottles, they don't release compounds that cause cancer!.

But the one rumored one is called a dioxin!. A study found an increased risk after high amounts of dioxin exposure in workers in chemical workers!. But for the general public this is not a risk, as the exposure is low!. There are other risk factors that are far more prevalent, like obesity, which could account for 14-20% of all cancer deaths!.

"Dioxin is one of the chemicals in Agent Orange, an herbicide used by the US during the Vietnam War to kill jungle vegetation!. Currently, dioxin is found as a byproduct of some industrial processes involving chlorine, hydrocarbons, and heat!. For example, some dioxin contamination results from incinerators and from paper and pulp factories!. However, levels of exposure are very low for workers in these industries and for the general public, compared with the high exposure of the chemical workers included in the study!."

"The message to the public is while it is important to minimize environmental pollution with chemicals such as dioxins, these are not presently major contributors to our overall cancer risk," Dr!. Thun concludedWww@Answer-Health@Com

The current paranoia is about BPA!. There may be some obscure link to BPA leaching out of some abused plastics and some types of cancer!.

I'm taking a wait and see approach on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
