Why is it that some people get allergies and some don't?!


Question: Why is it that some people get allergies and some don't!?
I have allergies, though my mother and my sisters don't!. Sometimes when I'm with my friends, (like now, its pollen season!.!.) and I'm outside, I start sneezing, coughing, and get watery eyes, but just me; not my friends!.!.
