Question: My son is sick!.!.!.again!!?
My 3 year old has a had a cough for a couple days, sounds like he needs to cough up stuff but cant get it up!.!.I noticed today that his breathing has gotten bad, I'm not sure if he has broncitis or pneumonia!?!? I'm taking him to the er if he is not better in the morning!.!.!.
He has not had a fever, and plays normally

I feel for you!. I have a daughter who is sick right now!. She is 6 years old!. She has had high fevers sore throat and staph!.
It doesn't sound like a Emergency room trip is needed if he is not running high fevers and is eating and drinking and playing normally!. If you go you will sit for hours because really it is not an emergency!.
If he cannot breathe or has trouble breathing by all means bring him in!.
Right now it is best to wait until Monday morning!. The doctor will be MUCH cheaper and they know your child's medical history!.

Sounds like Bronchitis!. The absence of a fever and no change in his play activity are good signs!. How is his appetite and fluid intake!? Bronchitis can progress to a pneumonia if not treated!. The ER is not necessary!. You can go to your regular pediatrician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Since he's not running fever sound like it might be allergies!. My 6 year has allergy induced asthma which causes a chronic cough she takes singular once a day at bedtime and albuterol treatment as needed!. It would be a good idea to take him to the doctor to get him checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Why on earth have you not taken him to the doctor!? That is a stupid answer and I know they wouldn't do anything, or maybe!. Do you have him on a cold air vaporizer!? Stop at the BEST PHARMACY in your area and ask the pharmacist what to do, they are the greatest!. OR-- What is best is to call the e!.r!. and talk to the head nurse and she/he will tell you what is best!. God be with the two of you and give the little guy a big kiss for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Breathing treatments is not cough medicine, and don't do anything for mucus!. Coughing is a good thing!. It's the body's way of expactorating foreign material!.

sounds like bronchitus more than pneumonia but it might just be a chest infection
