Question: Why do some people go out with someone who has an STD!?
someone who does NOT have an STD will go out with someone who does and not care!.
I even see it on Valtrex/or other STD commercials!.
You know, the commercials that have two people and the Boyfriend is like: "I have Herpes!.!.!."
and the Girlfriend is like "!.!.!.and I still DON'T!."

There is more to love than sex!. You are correct many people will not just randomly have sex with someone who has an std!. Although people with incurable std's know this so if they want random sex they probably just won't tell!. (which is altogether wrong! p!.s!. always wear a condom) When real LOVE is involved it turns into a completely different thing!. After reading your edit and learning you are 16 !.!.!. your question makes sense!. I personally can see why most people would not openly date a person with hiv/aids regardless of love feelings because hiv/aids can kill you!. However, many people with herpes do not even know they have it!. Many people with herpes do not have regular outbreaks!. AND herpes will NOT kill you! Who are you to judge others' decisions!? When you get older you will realize that there is a lot more that can go wrong in a relationship than that!. I am not saying you will ever change your mind, but most people who have the opinion you do have never been put in your situation!. If you REALLY cared for the person I think your mind would change!. Or maybe not, to each their own !.!.!. but move on from this subject!. There is no need to dwell worry about a situation that really doesn't (as of now) affect you!. Some people choose to date real jerks!. People that are selfish, domineering, overly opinionated, and just plain rude!. Why do people date these obnoxious people!? I don't know!. That is SICK and MESSED UP!. I mean, that's INSANE!. Dumb, don't you think!?
I choose to date people who are kind and caring, thoughtful and loving!. And if they happen to have a disease that doesn't kill you, or lead to other diseases, or cause infertility, or cause disfigurement, or even cause symptoms in most people, then I would still date them!.
If some people are more concerned about dating someone who is "clean" than someone who is really a great partner!? I suppose they have that right!.

Just because a person has an STD does not mean they are not worth going out with!. An STD does not make them any less worthy of love!. They are still the same person, just have had a bit of bad luck!. My boyfriend has HSV !. He is a great person, a wonderfull father, and I love him to death!. Statistics say that one in 3 people has herpes, whether they ever have a sore or not!. However, they theoretically could pass it to someone else, just being a 'carrier'!. It's perfectly likely that if you are sexually active, you have already come in contact with someone who has it and they don't even know !. !. !. you could be a carrier yourself and not know!. When I was a teen my doctor told me that you can even get genital herpes from having a person with a cold sore give you oral sex!.
I personally think it must be hard to get herpes from someone in whom the virus isn't currently active!.
And as for blocking anyone who finds your overly on the offensive 'question' annoying and posts an unfriendly response to you (you know you're basically saying that one in three people do not deserve to be loved) that you will just block them is a little weird, and probably won't break anyone's heart!. well it would be but, good luck finding someone without oral hereps (80% of the population has them and 30% has the genital type)!. i might date someone with herpes only because i have them too and there are people that dont understand and don't want anything to do with herpes (sound familiar)!. at least they know what their risk is and some people don't even get herpes from the person that they are having sex with!. at least they still don't have herpes i think they would know what they are doing!. herpes is not life threatening but u have to live with it the rest of your life and take responsability for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
