Answers:
Lymph nodes are components of our lymphatic system acting as filters or traps for foreign particles and contain white blood cells!. These lymph nodes are strategically positioned in the body and when there is an infection is some areas the nearest lymph node gets enlarged because that is where the infection drains!.

So if you are having a sore throat or any infections involving your head or ear area, the lymph nodes behind and in front of your ear enlarges!. When the infection is controlled (by antibiotics), the enlarged node will gradually go back to its normal size!. A lymph node that doesn't decrease in size or is persistently enlarged, needs to be assessed by a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm no medical expert but it could mean mono or something along those lines!.!. When I had mono last year only one side really swelled up strangely enough!. Well anyways, I guess you should go get it checked out by your doctor, he/she may have you do a blood test or swab test!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
