I went thru having abnormal paps for about 2 years or so!. My cells were changing and looking to be pre-cancerous due to HPV according the dr's!. I had cryosurgery done (freezing of the cervix to kill the cells for new ones to grow)!. I have had 2 paps since then and they are finally normal again!. Don't let an abnormal pap freak you out!. I do think a yeast infection can throw off the results though!.!.!.actually I have been told a lot of things can throw it off!. It is a common problem and I wouldn't be alarmed at this point since you have had a yeast infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a vaginal infection can cause a shift in vaginal flora, just that, it wont cause your pap to be abnormal, make sure your doctor does a thin prep pap as it is more accurate, and request HPV typing that will let you now what type of HPV you have, types 16 and 18 cause 70% of cervical cancer cases and types 6 and 11cause 90% of genital warts cases!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I read recently that 80% of women under the age of 35 havd HPV!.

I do know this though, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT let them talk you into getting that shot!. It causes more harm than it does good!. I know some one who is working on that research and the only reason he stays on is so he can see it to the end so it will do more good than harm!.

Do not let any females get that!. It's all a big lie!.

The pharmicuticals are lying about this drug and it's power!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's pretty normal to at least have 1 abnormal pap in your lifetime!. An infection could cause pap to come back abnormal!. So could human error!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should get the HPV treated otherwise, you will develop cervical cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An abnormal pap test does not mean you have HPV try not to stress until you know for sure!. I hope it isn't!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had an abnormal pap at 20 (or maybe 21) and it turned out to be HPV (almost 50% of women of that age have it!.!.!.so don't freak out)!. I went for a colposcopy and it came back as in a safe range!. I had to go for another pap 6 months later and my tissues had not changed, now I am back to yearly paps!. Its nothing to worry about at this stage of the game!. If there is any treatment needed they can deal with it now!.!.!.its those that go years and years without a checkup that need to worry :) I was scared though, so I know what you are going through, don't sweat it though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

superman doesn't quite know everything!. You get it treated!. It may or MAY NOT be the type that causes cervical cancer!. My twin sister has the type that doesn't!. Its hard to know which type you have unless you have genital warts!. Thats how she knows!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The VAST majority of the population is severely misinformed about HPV, pap results, etc!. I speak with many people who are scared to death about HPV when in reality, it is

First of all, your age works in your favour!. Over 80% of HPV infections are 'cleared' (cured) by the body's immune system within 18 months, especially among young women!. And most of the rest are cleared before they even reach the cancerous stage

HPV is probably the most common STI in the world!. 70% of the adult population will have had AT LEAST one HPV infection over their lifetime!.

With access to regular health screening (paps) HPV very rarely causes death!. It is so slow in progression, if it progresses at all, that it can easily be caught and treated before problems arise!.

So, don't be scared or frightened!. Statistically speaking, there is a good chance your body will cure the infection on its own!. You can probably also be assured that this won't be your last "abnormal pap result"!. They really are quite common!.

Just follow your doctor's advice about follow up paps and put it out of your mind!. HPV is not an immediate threat to your health or that of your partner!.

And I would strongly advise you get the HPV/Gardacil shot completed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
